2023 Illinois Child Support Calculators

Basic Information

The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services provides two separate Illinois Child Support Calculators / Estimators. They are intended to provide a rough estimate of the amount of child support a judge could order based on the information that you enter.

The first child support estimator is intended for parents, the second is intended for professionals and attorneys.

This information was most recently revised on February 10, 2023 and reflect the 2023 State and Federal income withholding levels, in addition to the United States Department of Health and Human Services Federal Poverty Guidelines for a single person living in Illinois for 2023.

Child Support Estimator for Parents

This Child Support Estimator is provided by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services to help parents get an estimated amount of child support that might be mandated in their case. This is done by answering a series of questions. It’s recommended to fill in as much information as possible for both parents to get a more accurate estimate. It can be found here.

Child Support Estimator for Professionals and Attorneys

This Child Support Estimator, offered by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services, is designed for use by professionals or attorneys. It features a simplified, streamlined process with data fields that can be directly entered, without the need for responding to prompts or questions. It can be found here.

**Note: As of November 9, 2023, the Child Support Estimator for Professionals and Attorneys has not been updated.
